Vilnelė River connects different urban Vilnius settings, from post-industrial landscapes to the Old Town. It is a metaphor of the city in perpetual change, a connector of different socio-spatial environments, different scenarios of future development of neighbourhoods. During the symposium, participants discussed the social, cultural, and urban transformations of three city districts – Naujoji Vilnia, Markučiai, and Paupys – the opportunities they create, and the challenges they pose for the inhabitants of these neighbourhoods. Representatives of urban communities and culture workers shared their adventures in finding ways to change and improve their environment.
