The theme of “Nestor” perfectly fits in the city of Trieste, because of its troubled modern history which included many changes of nationality in less than a century. But the rich suggestions coming from Joyce’s book are somehow simultaneously universal, global and local: trade, liberalism, epidemics, peace, language, economics, debt, coexistence, feminism, freedom. The audience discussed all of these matters starting from the words of Ulysses, in order to assemble the 15 question for the UEO Arts & Society CHARTER 309.
