Send Us Your Questions

Join 17 other European cities in helping us address some key modern day issues!

Citizens from 17 other European countries have sent in their questions prompted by a contemporary theme explored in the context of their cities. Now it is Paris’ turn!

As a Parisian we are asking you to share your questions on the theme of Our Creative Dialogue with the Dead

Our ULYSSES European Odyssey project involves 18 cities across Europe, each linked to an episode in Joyce’s book and, more crucially, the contemporary theme sitting in each episode. Paris has two graveyards (Père Lachaise and Montparnasse) where many of its great cultural and artistic figures are buried, and the project’s stop in Paris seeks to initiate a creative dialogue between the living and the dead. As Homer wrote, ‘the dead can speak and deliver their wisdom.’ This episode in Ulysses is set at a funeral in Glasnevin Cemetery, Dublin.

The resulting publication (which will be called Will You Answer? 309 Questions from Europe) will bring together all the questions we have received from each city on their different themes.

Sent in by citizens from all walks of life, the publication will be an extraordinary look into the hearts and minds of European citizens today – and an inspiration for all.

We are asking Parisians to submit questions responding to the theme Our Creative Dialogue with the Dead

Do the dead speak?
Is death the end of life or the end of the memory of that life?
Can our relationship with the dead make us more understanding in life?

What question would you ask?

Thank you! Merci beaucoup!
