Artist’s Statement
as usual I don’t know where I am going, I have a small idea of places that interest me, and images I want to do, I remain free to decide and improvise when I am shooting. loosing myself during the day or night. The thing is that it’s so important to loose yourself. it’s an hard way dealing with your feelings and trying to understand what you want and what is this all about this is many times the question Walking alone in the city with a camera. Photography Is a way of surviving for me. Poetry. Again and again. Its about poetry. freedom. Its about me. it’s about us it’s about living it’s about seeing and feeling and being part of all this and it’s about resistance I’m not looking for normal images, or photographing what I already know I’m looking for that images and moment I have never lived, and I can learn with. I want to learn reading the everyday life, photography for me is this contact with the unknown. A state of mind. and it’s hard. It’s difficult. it’s magical I’m not looking for the normal, and easy and I’m not looking for showing a specific part of the history or documenting something specific. Poetry. music. sounds. colours. shapes. forms. lines. abstractions. and real things, people, people with real problems, existential problems, human condition. Existentialism we have always to fight We have the power to change. By resisting not forgetting the important things life give us. We shouldn’t be afraid and always think by our own reflecting what we think and feel, now it’s about us.

Visual Gesture
Each artist on the residency programme was asked to create a simple visual gesture for potential inclusion in the ULYSSES European Odyssey book. An image that reflected their visit to another partner city, a moment which stayed with them, something quite simple, even symbolic.
